Loan Auditing for Professionals

Welcome! This page is where you will find information on The DIY Mortgage Review for Professionals product. My name is Christine Springer, and I wrote this book to help you get your clients a better outcome with their mortgage troubles.

I have been auditing mortgage loans since 2009, at the beginning of the foreclosure crisis. By 2010 I was beginning to notice a lot of inconsistencies.

Before I started my legal company, Desert Edge Legal Services, I was a paralegal with law firms in St. Louis and Phoenix.

I used my legal experience to critically review loans to find leverage for homeowners to get a loan modification. It became obvious after case decisions around the country that TILA/RESPA violations weren't enough. From there, I started looking at the chain of recorded documents. I was stunned by what I saw and even more shocked that the courts did not seem to care.

By 2010, I was blogging about the issues I noticed in clients' loans, and the phone began to ring with people asking for help. It wasn't just borrowers, though: lawyers, investors, property owners and real estate agents asked me for help! I wrote this guide to give the public a way to fight the bankers with concrete evidence.

Lawsuits are based on facts and evidence, and I've found that arguments like "produce the note" and "ucc note split from the deed" are not taken seriously.

However, if you can show the court and opposing counsel some concrete evidence, you have a better shot at keeping your home.

I have worked with quite a few attorneys to help them understand their clients' loans and how to get better outcomes.

If you are looking for some in-depth materials to help you understand what is going on with a mortgage loan, this book can help.
